Dental Implants

A dental implant is the next best thing to having a real tooth. Unlike a dental bridge, which requires demanding care and likely replacement at least once in a person’s lifetime, an implant is an easy, permanent solution.

Implants are equally fantastic at helping to hold in dentures. With as few as four implants, a person can replace all their teeth permanently without ever having to take them out!

 

Our Process

At its core, a dental implant is a titanium post inserted into the jawbone. Bone loves titanium so much, it will actually fuse to the titanium and incorporate it into the jawbone. 

Dr. Merrill uses cutting-edge 3D imaging technology to evaluate the quality of your jawbone and determine the best course of action. Once the implant is stable, the tooth is ready to be restored. For a single tooth, this typically involves taking an impression and making a crown. For multiple teeth or denture attachment, the process requires taking a mold of the mouth and possible additional steps.

Fast Results

In our practice, we are able to skip the lab wait time because we fabricate most of our single implant crowns right in the office. Through the wonders of Cerec technology, Dr. Merrill designs and makes virtually all his own implant crowns, meaning you have less time to wait for that perfect new tooth!
